You Must Use Emotion to Be Successful at Manifesting

The art of manifesting is dependent upon belief. The theory behind this is that you can literally call into your life anything you would like. Most of us have deeply held belief systems which were developed prior to the age of seven. If we come from a background of lack and want, we’re likely to believe in it so strongly that we continue to manifest that same result throughout the rest of our lives, unless an awakening occurs and one has a strong motivation to rewire one’s brain.

One great example of this is a story told by Pam Grout, author of E-Squared, published by Hay House Publishers. Ms. Grout gave the example of a young woman whose grandparents and parents had been wealthy. She therefore lived in the belief system that this was how her life was going to be, without any doubt or question. As a young woman, she decided to divest herself of most of her fortune by giving it away to needy causes. This felt really right to her at the time and did turn out to be a wonderful decision as the various charities benefited a great deal. However, her belief in prosperity was so strong that within a year, without even really trying, she made another $1 million. This shows how one’s thinking and conditioning brings about the results one expects.

I am gearing today’s comments to those challenged in bringing in abundance. In my opinion, the reason these challenges occur is because the “lack and want” belief system is still stuck so strongly in place. Rapidly saying affirmations and desires without really thinking about them and getting emotionally involved rarely yields results. One must come from a place in which one believes the desire has already happened. The best way to do this is to use emotion in expressing one’s desires to the universe.

I believe that my best results at manifesting come about when I take time to really feel the new situation and to be grateful for the fact that it has already happened. It is necessary to state the desire but then sit with it quietly for a while and picture one’s life once the desires have been satisfied. If you are wishing to bring wealth into your life, it helps to envision your life of abundance and to plan how you will handle that abundance and what you will do with that wealth. Have a feeling of thankfulness and try to emotionally be in the situation of having great abundance. Create in your mind the feeling of gratitude and joy that you will feel when it comes about.

I have been working on this for a couple of years now and have been able to manifest a significant increase in my business. This has not made me wealthy yet but it has put me in a much better position. Because it has been reinforced by a continually growing business, I do not worry about it anymore. This feeling of having an abundant business continues to carry over and bring more success. Worrying only keeps abundance at bay. I am still far from my goal, but making progress. This shows that it sometimes takes a while for abundance issues to improve, but does show that steady progress can be made.

Manifestation Classes

I would like to share that I am organizing a class on how to manifest things in your life. This class would initially be offered in the Annapolis, Maryland area, which is about 30 miles east of Washington DC. This three-hour class is comprised of two parts. I would first discuss all of the relevant literature which proves the existence of a universal force which is shaped by our thinking. Scientists in quantum physics are coming up with more and more experiments which prove that this is indeed how the universe works. We are all in control of what happens to us. There are also a number of experiments which have been conducted by those who are not scientists but the experiments are nonetheless very convincing.

In addition, I would discuss a basic manifestation method which I have developed for use in my own life. It has worked quite well and really gets results. This is obviously something which gets perfected over time. I would like to share this information with the public at large so that they will see that one can control their own environment. This is especially useful for those who have unusual challenges in their lives.

More information will be shared as it becomes available. I would also like to offer this as a webinar in the future in order to reach as many people as possible.

Science Proves We Create Our Reality

I am re-posting this blog entry by Pam Grout, author of E Squared and E-Cubed, published by Hay House. Science is clearly showing that our thoughts create our reality.

“Don’t know if you saw yesterday’s New York Times. But I’m wahooing and fist-bumping because the prestigious scientific journal Nature just published a huge study proving one of the principals I talk about in my books.

As you can imagine, not just everybody buys into the fact that things over here (say our thoughts) influence things over there.

But scientists at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands just proved one of quantum theory’s fundamental claims. Namely, that objects separated by great distance instantaneously affect each other’s behavior. Kinda a big blow to Isaac Newton and old-school physics.

Although these kind of non-local experiments have been going on since the 70’s (I wrote about Bell’s Theorem in E-Squared), there were still some nay-sayers pointing to loopholes. This new experiment, conducted by physicists at the Dutch university’s Kavli Institute of Nanoscience, ruled out all hidden variables and pretty much substantiates the weird quantum world formed from subatomic particles, a world where matter takes form ONLY after being observed and measured.

The Delft researchers entangled two electrons, separated them by nearly a mile and then measured the spin. They used diamonds with a tiny trap for the electrons and then placed them on opposite sides of the campus, ensuring that the information could not be exchanged by any other means. Well, guess what?

The electrons changed spins simultaneously. As Princeton physics professor John Wheeler famously said, “It’s one of the deep, happy mysteries that, at all times, we interact with and influence the world we observe.”

Why would we observe it any way except with big love and joyous gratitude?”

Pam Grout is the author of 17 books including E-Squared: 9 Do-it-Yourself Energy Experiments that Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality and its equally-scintillating sequel, E-Cubed, 9 More Experiments that Prove Mirth, Magic and Merriment is your Full-time Gig.

More Evidence That We Create Our Own Lives

Before I go on to discuss how I learned to manifest by “re-wiring” my brain, I would like to go into some detail on some of the writings which led to my wholeheartedly accepting the fact that we literally create our own experiennces minute-by-minute.

In The Biology of Belief by Dr. Bruce Lipton, it is noted that individuals missing significant sections of their brain can live completely normal and happy lives with no detrimental effects. Dr. Lipton quotes a finding by a British neurologist by the name of Dr. John Lorber involving a very intelligent university student who had earned various honors and lived a normal social life but was found to be missing several centimeters of his cerebral cortex. There is obviously more to man than just the tissue inside one’s skull!

Dr. Lipton goes on to quote Mahatma Gandhi when it comes to the power of thought and positive thinking:

“Your beliefs become your thoughts

Your thoughts become your words

Your words become your actions

Your actions become your habits

Your habits become your values

Your values become your destiny”

Gregg Braden writes in his work, The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits that it is impossible to simply watch something without becoming involved with it. The very act of observing anything ties us to whatever it is that we are watching and that we are therefore participants in everything that goes on around us.

The idea that our thoughts and actions influence the world around us is a core tenet of both Gregg Braden’s works. Mr. Braden writes that, “Experiments show that the focus of our attention changes reality itself and suggest that we live in an interactive universe.”

Furthermore, Mr. Braden writes that scientific experiments and literature points to a shared field of energy to which we are all connected. “The universe, our world, and our bodies are made of a shared field of energy that was scientifically recognized in the 20th century and is now identified by names that include the field, the quantum hologram, the mind of God, nature’s mind, and the Divine Matrix.”

Another book by Gregg Braden, Deep Truth, discusses the advantage that the above knowledge imparts upon us. He states that by knowing we select our own future and by knowing who we are gives us an evolutionary advantage that humanity’s ancestors never had. With this knowledge in hand we can tip the scales in our favor for a better future.

How Meditation Can Change Your Brain Chemistry

Most experienced meditators would probably agree that a regular practice produces many positive, noticeable changes, such as a greater sense of well-being and happiness, greater feelings of relaxation, reduction in stress, and a generally more positive outlook on life. However, the reality is even more profound than we have thought until recently. There is an increasing body of evidence that meditation actually produces changes in our brain. This is a startling validation of meditation which can have a significant impact in convincing people to begin meditating and convincing occasional meditators to commit to a regular practice.

The implications are huge. This means that we can control the development of our brain through mental exercises and actually change its structure. For so long, we have been told by science that our brain development stops when we are in our teens or early twenties. The only change would be a deterioration as we age. However, we are now finding that mental functioning can be improved as we age through a concerted effort.

The 1/21/11 issue of the Harvard Gazette made reference to a study done at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2010. The article stated that “Meditation group participants reported spending an average of 27 minutes each day practicing mindfulness exercises, and their responses to a mindfulness questionnaire indicated significant improvements compared with pre-participation responses. The analysis of MR images, which focused on areas where meditation-associated differences were seen in earlier studies, found increased gray-matter density in the hippocampus, known to be important for learning and memory, and in structures associated with self-awareness, compassion, and introspection.

Participant-reported reductions in stress also were correlated with decreased gray-matter density in the amygdala, which is known to play an important role in anxiety and stress. None of these changes were seen in the control group, indicating that they had not resulted merely from the passage of time.”

A 2/21/11 article in the Huffpost Healthy Living by Deepak Chopra also noted that “Brain scans of Buddhist monks had already shown dramatic alteration of gamma waves in the prefrontal cortex, a region associated with higher cognitive responses as well as moral feelings like compassion.”

A Meditation and Exercise to Help You Work Directly with Universal Consciousness

The following meditation has been designed to help you create the feelings in your body that will allow the universe to reflect back to you your desires. It will assist you in getting in tune with the “consciousness computer” and using it to create the most joyous life you could ever imagine.

It will be important to eliminate all sources of distraction, and to pick a time and place which will be conducive to complete relaxation and openness to Universal Consciousness. This meditation may be done either lying down or sitting upright. If you are sitting upright, your hands should be held palms up on your knees. Think of a situation or outcome which you wish to produce. Say a brief prayer of gratitude for this experience. Call upon the Reiki guides and masters to assist you.

Take a few deep breaths in order to feel completely relaxed. Release any tension that you feel in any part of your body.

Spend a few moments clearing your mind of any random thoughts. Replace those thoughts with mental pictures of the universe as a loving, all-encompassing system to which you are totally connected.

Meditate on thoughts of peace and what that condition means to you. Think of clear mental pictures which show you exactly what peace in your life looks like.

Then, spend the next few minutes bringing the feeling of peace into your body. Concentrate now on what that feels like. Experience the quietness and serenity of pure and utter peace in your life. Surround yourself with the complete knowing that peace is the essence of what you are experiencing now and will always experience. Know that this is all there is.

Concentrate now on the feeling that you are peace, and that this is the true essence of your nature. Repeat to yourself, “I am peace” several times until you feel that this is undoubtedly so.

Now that you are peace, know that this is all that can happen. Concentrate on this idea for a few moments. Meditate with the idea of having the sure and certain knowledge that the universe will now reflect back to you utter peace in regard to the situation.

Let a wave of joy wash over you as you see the outcome. Feel deep happiness and gratitude. Create the feeling in your body that this is now a reality.

Sit in stillness for a few moments and then gradually bring your awareness back to the present, still feeling peace and gratitude.

The following exercise can be done quickly, either several times a day or just when you are feeling the need to connect to the universe to bring about your desires. It is important to have the setting for this exercise be a place where you feel utter peace and safety. For me, the corner of my backyard where my fish pond is situated is my ”safe place”. It is therefore possible for me to practice this exercise at home. However, if you are not at home, or if your “safe place” is an imaginary or distant site, such as a tropical island, this exercise will work just as well, as long as you can bring up the same feelings.

Take two or three deep breaths and then visualize yourself standing with your arms lifted up to heaven, with a beatific smile on your face. Feel the supreme happiness of knowing that what you want has already occurred. It is important to make this feeling as real as possible. Seeing a picture of yourself with this radiant smile will do a lot to create the feeling in your body which will attract your desires. Imagine a timeframe when you will actually see the results-it could be that evening, the next day, the next week, or the next month. However, it is important to set a specific time. Lastly, feel a deep sense of gratitude for what has already occurred. Visualize yourself actually saying these words of gratitude to the universe.

Do this exercise often, and you will soon see how quickly you are seeing your desires manifest.

What Universal Consciousness Can Do for You

The output in your life is determined solely by the input which you are giving to the universe. There are many benefits which can be derived from using Universal Consciousness for assistance with your Reiki practice.

By harnessing the power of this force, you will see a series of events reflecting your goals falling into place like clockwork. One has to be very clear regarding one’s goals, priorities and desires, for you will get exactly what you ask for.

Most importantly, the use of Universal Consciousness will draw the right clients and students into your life at the right time. This will enable you to utilize your Reiki energy to the best advantage to help. It will also help you to attract other learning opportunities, bringing additional information and teachings into your life when needed.

In addition, knowing that one is in the flow of the universe is very empowering. This feeling of connection will help to vastly decrease the feelings of helplessness and restriction which is so common in the world today. The very concept that you are completely in charge of what happens in your life is a truly awesome one. This sense of personal power stuns when the full impact of it is realized. Of all the many concepts of the nature of the universe that have been posited throughout history, this is the one that most of us have wished with all our hearts is the “real” one.

There are many other benefits besides attracting new Reiki clients and students. These additional benefits act to improve the quality of your practice of Reiki. These include a feeling of greater confidence, a feeling of connectedness with the universe, a better sense of connection with others, a clearer focus with which to undertake goal setting and the establishment of priorities which are right for you, a greater feeling of peace and contentment, increased life satisfaction, and increased energy. These benefits all act in concert to enhance one’s Reiki practice.

Despite the fact that this has not been much discussed, it is an easy concept to understand. In essence, we must create a feeling in our bodies that a certain desire has already occurred. Once we have done this, it is necessary to feel gratitude to the universe for creating this.

It helps a great deal if one can keep in mind that Universal Consciousness is always there, whether a person believes in it or not, and that it can only reflect back what it is given as input.
