You Must Use Emotion to Be Successful at Manifesting

The art of manifesting is dependent upon belief. The theory behind this is that you can literally call into your life anything you would like. Most of us have deeply held belief systems which were developed prior to the age of seven. If we come from a background of lack and want, we’re likely to believe in it so strongly that we continue to manifest that same result throughout the rest of our lives, unless an awakening occurs and one has a strong motivation to rewire one’s brain.

One great example of this is a story told by Pam Grout, author of E-Squared, published by Hay House Publishers. Ms. Grout gave the example of a young woman whose grandparents and parents had been wealthy. She therefore lived in the belief system that this was how her life was going to be, without any doubt or question. As a young woman, she decided to divest herself of most of her fortune by giving it away to needy causes. This felt really right to her at the time and did turn out to be a wonderful decision as the various charities benefited a great deal. However, her belief in prosperity was so strong that within a year, without even really trying, she made another $1 million. This shows how one’s thinking and conditioning brings about the results one expects.

I am gearing today’s comments to those challenged in bringing in abundance. In my opinion, the reason these challenges occur is because the “lack and want” belief system is still stuck so strongly in place. Rapidly saying affirmations and desires without really thinking about them and getting emotionally involved rarely yields results. One must come from a place in which one believes the desire has already happened. The best way to do this is to use emotion in expressing one’s desires to the universe.

I believe that my best results at manifesting come about when I take time to really feel the new situation and to be grateful for the fact that it has already happened. It is necessary to state the desire but then sit with it quietly for a while and picture one’s life once the desires have been satisfied. If you are wishing to bring wealth into your life, it helps to envision your life of abundance and to plan how you will handle that abundance and what you will do with that wealth. Have a feeling of thankfulness and try to emotionally be in the situation of having great abundance. Create in your mind the feeling of gratitude and joy that you will feel when it comes about.

I have been working on this for a couple of years now and have been able to manifest a significant increase in my business. This has not made me wealthy yet but it has put me in a much better position. Because it has been reinforced by a continually growing business, I do not worry about it anymore. This feeling of having an abundant business continues to carry over and bring more success. Worrying only keeps abundance at bay. I am still far from my goal, but making progress. This shows that it sometimes takes a while for abundance issues to improve, but does show that steady progress can be made.

Compilation of Wisdom From Wayne Dyer

E-Squared Experiment #2

This is the third post regarding the experiments listed in the best-selling book E-Squared (Hay House, 2013) by Pam Grout. The second experiment is referred to by Ms. Grout as the Volkswagon Jetta Principle. The theory as explained by Ms. Grout is that we all impact the Field of Potentiality and draw from it according to our beliefs and expectations. The question is do I really see only what I expect to see? The hypothesis is if I decide to look for beige cars and butterflies, I will find them. The time frame for the experiment began on October 6, 2013 at 6:30 PM. The experiment was to last for 48 hours, ending on October 8 at the same time.

 

I decided to look for beige cars for the first 24 hours and then look for butterflies during the second 24 hours. When I was reading this experiment, I was in a public place on a river near my hometown which is only about three minutes away from my house. As soon as I got up to leave and go home, I decided to start the experiment looking for beige cars. During this very brief ride, I saw no less than nine beige cars. Right off the bat, I got some wonderful reinforcement that we really do see that which we expect to see. This indicates to me that we are definitely influencing what happens in our world.

 

Throughout the next day until 6:30 PM, I saw a total of 156 beige cars. The interesting thing is that I did not drive very far or very long during that period. I did not venture out again that evening and the next day I made 2 trips around town to do errands. The total time spent on the road was probably about an hour and a half. I was astounded by the number of beige cars I saw during that time. I really did get the feeling that I was creating my own reality. I should also point out that I was driving in a relatively small city of only about 20,000 persons, so it’s not as if I was driving downtown in a major city where there was massive traffic.

 

The second part of the experiment seemed to me to be less likely to be successful. I would be looking for butterflies at a time of year when they are much rarer than during the spring and summer. I live in Maryland and these beautiful creatures are not often seen during October. I was wondering how this was going to work but still had faith underneath it all. During this time frame, I remember reaching into my kitchen cabinet to get a glass for water. Lo and behold, my hand, without me really looking, reached for a glass which contained a painting of three butterflies. The book explained that I had to see butterflies but not necessarily live ones. Those three butterflies on the glass counted against the results of this experiment. The next day, I saw two additional butterflies in pictures on the Internet, for a total of five butterflies. It is interesting to note that since that time, although the weather is getting more and more, I’ve actually seen three or four real live butterflies out in nature and several additional pictures.

 

I went into this with the ideathat this work with the Field of Potentiality would allow me to harness this force to make my life even better. The successful experiments reinforced this idea and I was very excited about continuing them. To me, there is absolutely no doubt that we create our own lives. In the next blog post, I will discuss the results I had with experiment number three, which were very interesting, to say the least.

We Can Change the Physical Structure of Our Brains

In my last post, I mentioned that I would continue on with the topic of how to rewire our brains to change the limited thinking ingrained in us since childhood. Here is the result of my research.

The 1/21/11 issue of the Harvard Gazette made reference to a study done at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2010. The article stated that “Meditation group participants reported spending an average of 27 minutes each day practicing mindfulness exercises, and their responses to a mindfulness questionnaire indicated significant improvements compared with pre-participation responses. The analysis of MR images, which focused on areas where meditation-associated differences were seen in earlier studies, found increased gray-matter density in the hippocampus, known to be important for learning and memory, and in structures associated with self-awareness, compassion, and introspection.

Participant-reported reductions in stress also were correlated with decreased gray-matter density in the amygdala, which is known to play an important role in anxiety and stress. None of these changes were seen in the control group, indicating that they had not resulted merely from the passage of time.”

A 2/21/11 article in the Huffpost Healthy Living by Deepak Chopra also noted that “Brain scans of Buddhist monks had already shown dramatic alteration of gamma waves in the prefrontal cortex, a region associated with higher cognitive responses as well as moral feelings like compassion.”

 

There are no coincidences. At around the time that I came to believe in the principle of manifestation beyond any doubt, a book called Rewire Your Brain for Love,( Hay House, 2012)  by Dr. Marsha Lucas, caught my attention and I purchased it.

 

Dr. Lucas has some surprising things to say. Once you read the book, you will want to begin her rewiring exercises immediately. You will not be able to stand the idea that your thoughts are largely controlled by your upbringing and the institutions that you were raised in.

 

She states, in the introduction to the book that, “We can, in fact, not only cause our brains to change and to grow new connections and pathways, we can produce new neurons throughout our entire lives. It’s called neuroplasticity and it is the most radical finding in neuroscience since, well, the discovery  that the brain wasn’t just a cooling device for the body… you can grow new connections so that your brain wiring can be redirected and/or overridden.

 

She also states, “Since I began using mindfulness meditation with my patients, I have been privileged to witness some of the most amazing improvements. By using simple mindfulness meditation, you can rewire your brain’s relationship pathways — and change  your life”.
